Dispose of Hearing Aids Right

Hearing aids can be donated to a community service organization that will distribute the items to people in need. Universities or colleges with audiology or hearing aid specialist programs may accept donations of hearing aids. Additionally, schools for the deaf may accept a hearing aid donation.

Hearing Aid Project by Hearing Charities of America   accepts used hearing aids - working or non-working - of any age, brand or model.  Hear For A Purpose is a non-profit organization that aims to improve hearing healthcare in the Dominican Republic. Hear For A Purpose accepts any brand or age RIC and BTE hearing aids. Mail your hearing aid directly to Hear For A Purpose. Donations are tax-deductible. The Olive Osmond Hearing Fund is a nonprofit organization that raises funds and awareness to support the deaf and hard-of-hearing. They refurbish donated devices and provide them to those who cannot afford hearing aids otherwise.

MedWish International is a not-for-profit organization that saves lives and the environment by repurposing discarded medical supplies and equipment to provide humanitarian aid in developing countries. Individuals wishing to donate health-related products can call the Cleveland warehouse at (216) 692-1685 and schedule a drop-off of unused, non-expired medical supplies and usable medical equipment. MedWish is unable to pick up medical supplies and cannot accept expired supplies. See donation details.
